Additional deputies arrived and explained that she was required to provide her license during the stop. She continued arguing until officers warned that they would break the window and remove her. She then offered to show her license, but police told her that the opportunity to cooperate had passed and placed her under arrest. She was booked on charges of resisting an officer without violence and unlawfully obscuring a vehicle tag. She also received a separate traffic citation for failing to carry or display her driver’s license on demand. She spent the night in jail and was released the following day after $1,250 in cash bond was posted. She later entered a pretrial diversion program and paid $100 in prosecution costs. Prosecutors dropped both criminal charges. The separate driver’s-license citation remained unpaid with a $139 balance, and court records show that a license suspension was reported after the deadline passed.
