November 20, 2023, in Faulkner County Arkansas, Conway Police received information from the Homeland Security Investigations Division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security that child sexual abuse materials were being downloaded at a home on Old Morrilton Highway. Once detectives confirmed that the materials were being downloaded, a search warrant was obtained to search the home of 78-year-old Allen Seibert. As officers attempted to enter the home, Seibert was armed with a shotgun, this led to one of the officers shooting Seibert and striking him in the chest. Seibert was taken to a local hospital where he later died from injuries sustained in the shooting. The officer’s use of force was justified under Arkansas law and no charges will be filed in the case.
