Cleveland, Ohio -- An Officer with the Cleveland Metroparks Police Department ("CMPD") was parked by a stop sign when he noticed a tan sedan fail to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. A traffic stop was initiated and immediately, a man got out of his car and began asking "why" The officer explained he was being pulled over for the stop sign, the man failed to go over to the officers bumper when asked to do so. Eventually the man made a run for it and was tased. The taser had a successful strike off camera that immobilized the man. According to the report, as the officer was handcuffing the suspect and being in close contact with the man, he noticed the male may be intoxicated. Upon search of the vehicle, officers located an open container of "Heineken", evidence of marijuana use (a smell of burnt marijuana, ashtray full of brown "roaches"), three social security cards, two credit cards, an insurance card, a Tri-C ID card, two checkbooks, a (stolen) passport, and three guitars. To the best of my knowledge, none of those ID cards belong to him. The man, later identified as Deavonte McClain, was charged with the following: - DUI - Operating a motor vehicle without a valid license - Reckless Operation - Operation of vehicle at stop sign - Consumption/sale/possession of liquor He was also INDICTED, with the following: - x3 Receiving Stolen Property - x2 DUI (one for plain DUI, the other for having a prohibited amount of alcohol in his urine) He has failed to appear to court ⚠️ Footage from this video was obtained via the Ohio Public Records Act (R.C. 149.43) All suspects featured on the channel are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law ⚠️
