On the 15th of September 2022, at 7:23 pm, a Rio Rancho Police Department officer was dispatched to a Burrito Express parking lot after receiving a report of a man “bothering people leaving a driving school and looking into vehicles.” The caller was concerned as the kids were soon to be leaving the nearby driving school. On arrival the officer noticed the kids leaving the school and located the suspect in the parking lot who seemed “agitated”. The officer stated in his report the suspect “at one point began throwing rocks aggressively in the parking lot.”. Upon speaking to the suspect he told the officer he had gotten into an argument with someone at the driving school after he “took a dump” behind the business and they made a Facebook post about it. He went on to tell the officer nothing else had happened. After identifying the suspect the officer discovered the suspect had outstanding warrants and called for backup. While awaiting backup the officer calmly spoke with the suspect, who had rocks in his hands, and questioned him on more details of what had happened. When the second officer arrived the primary officer asked the suspect to “put down the rocks” to which the suspect asked, “why?”. The suspect did not listen to the officer and kept the rocks in his hands. The primary officer explained to the suspect he had outstanding warrants to which the suspect told officers that it was “a mistake” and suggested maybe it was his son who had the warrants not him. When the primary officer asked if they shared the same name he said no just the same last name. Both officers began approaching the suspect to place him into custody to which the suspect began immediately resisting the officers. Both officers eventually were able to safely take the suspect into custody and handcuff him before searching his person for dangerous weapons and/or items. Upon completing the search officers found metallic knuckles in the suspect's pocket. After the arrest, the suspect was evaluated by EMS on the scene to ensure he did not have any serious injuries or needed any medical attention. The EMS personnel determined the suspect did not have any serious injuries. The suspect was arrested on his outstanding warrants and charged with Interference with Officers (Resisting Arrest) and Unlawful Possession of Weapons. #police #cop #bodycam ~~~ RealBodyCams is a YouTube Channel where we provide video content covering US law enforcement & crime.
