Dash camera video from the Moses Lake Police Department of the pursuit and arrest of a car theft suspect. Location: Moses Lake, Grant County, Washington, United States Date: May 14, 2020 (Thursday) Moses Lake Police Department: Early morning pursuit leads to crash A 17-year old male was taken into custody this morning after attempting to flee from police in a stolen car. The car was stolen after it was left running at a local gas station, and drove off with the teenager in it. The driver drove around in circles in the WinCo parking lot with police in pursuit, flipping off a customers who told him to stop. Exiting the parking lot, the driver hit spike strips deployed by officers, puncturing the vehicle's tires. The driver attempted to continue his string of poor life choices by continuing to flee, before losing control and and crashing through a fence and striking a parked car near the corner of Grape and Central. This particular juvenile and his adult brother have been contacted for a staggering number of retail and vehicle thefts the last couple months. His brother has been in jail since last week and we can only hope this one will stay in juvenile for a while. We would like to thank the Washington State Patrol and the Grant County Sheriff's Office for their help on the case, even if K9 Chewie kinda scared me when he got out of the car! #IdRatherBiteMyselfThanTakeOneFromChewie #CatchAndReleasePolicing #OneFamilyCrimeWave
