On February 23, 2024, the Stow Police Department responded to a call reporting a crash involving a single female driver who was found to be under the influence at the time of the incident. The crash occurred on a dangerous stretch of highway, characterized by a blind curve. Upon arrival, the officer immediately observed signs of impairment in the woman, who admitted to consuming several shots while working at The Town Tavern in Green, Ohio. Despite repeated instructions to stay out of the roadway, she ignored the officer's warnings, prompting him to place her in the back of his patrol car for her safety. Throughout the interaction, she directed vulgar language toward the officers. The woman was taken to a nearby gas station off the highway to undergo a field sobriety test, which she failed.
