Martin County Sheriff's Office deputies respond to a McDonald's parking lot in Palm City, Florida after a passerby records video of a couple having sex in a parked car and calls 911. When deputies arrive, Krystal Payne is nude from the waist down in the driver's seat of her GMC Denali. Her partner, Michael Herbert Biddle, is fully clothed. The two are business partners. He is married. His wife is not present. Payne admits everything: "Yes, of course we were." Biddle denies it: "We didn't have intercourse, trust me." Deputies spend the next 45 minutes working out what charge fits. The felony statute requires a witness under 16, and although the complainant believed kids on the sidewalk may have seen it, deputies can't confirm any minor witnessed the act.
