🚨 TRAGIC CLOSE-RANGE ENCOUNTER: THE DAVID GAYLOR CASE On May 19, 2023, Albuquerque Police officers responded to a mental health crisis call at an apartment complex on Tingley Dr. SW. The situation escalated instantly in a tight breezeway when the suspect advanced with a dangerous homemade weapon: a 6-foot wooden pole with a knife taped to the end. Watch how the confrontation unfolds immediately inside the narrow alleyway. After lunging at the officer at the entrance, he traps the other two officers. Even after being hit with a Taser, he manages to slice the wires with his makeshift spear and continues charging. ⚠️ GRAPHIC CONTENT WARNING: This video contains graphic public record footage of a critical law enforcement shooting.
