On November 9, 2023, Pullman police responded to a traffic collision. When speaking with the 19-year-old driver of one of the vehicles involved, Officer Humphrey could smell the odor of alcohol coming from her breath. He asked the woman to blow into a portable breathalyzer and the result was 0.119% BAC. She was eventually arrested for DUI and taken to the Pullman police station where she submitted to an evidential breath test (EBT). The result of that test was 0.094% BAC, nearly 5 times the legal limit for someone under 21-years of age.
