Full report: On the above date and time while patrolling in the area of W Fayetteville Rd and Flat Shoals Rd, I observed a vehicle matching the description of a vehicle that has fled from Clayton County Deputies and Officers on several occasions however, the tag of that vehicle was displayed on a GMC but belonged on a Toyota Avalon. Deputies in the area, including myself, attempted to conduct a traffic stop on that vehicle however, the driver immediately fled and fled at a high rate speed out of the gas stations parking lot, disregarding the stop sign and fled eastbound on W Fayetteville Rd towards Walker Rd. While traveling eastbound, the vehicle drove eastbound in the westbound lanes of travel and passed several vehicle on the left, in a no passing zone. The driver then got back onto the correct side of the road and continued to flee, putting himself and other drivers in danger of a serious crash or even death. Once at W Fayetteville Rd and Walker Rd, the driver failed to stop for that clearly posted stop sign. The driver then failed to stop for a red light on W Fayetteville Rd and Riverdale Rd and turned right onto Riverdale Rd. The driver then drove southbound in the westbound lanes of traffic, passing vehicles and driving in the gore. Once at Riverdale Rd and King Rd, he crashed into the back of a Chrysler 300 but continued to try and get away. He then crashed into another vehicle which caused the fleeing vehicle to lose control, flip over and slide into the wood line. The driver attempted to get out however he was bitten by K9 TIR. I then got the female adult passenger out of the vehicle, then I pulled the male driver out of the vehicle, all through the sun roof and placed him into custody. I then heard children yelling and crying in the vehicle. I knew that with this vehicle on its side, there was a possibility that the vehicle could roll over and trap myself and the kids inside the vehicle. I then put myself in danger and rescued the children in the vehicle. One child (oldest) was not wearing a seatbelt. I was able to easier get her out of the vehicle by putting her through the sunroof. The next child, I had to undo her seatbelt and also put her thought the sunroof while insuring her that everything will be ok. I then got to the infant child who was in a car seat. I had to cut her seatbelt while she was sideways in the vehicle. While crying, I also insured her that she is safe now. I put her through the sunroof and handed her to other deputies. I then climbed out of the vehicle and checked on the other vehicle. I then learned that all occupants of the Chrysler 300 had to be transported to a local hospital for treatment. I was then informed by Deputies that the fleeing driver, Alexander Dunn, had a small amount of Marijuana on his person. Dunn then openly admitted that he fled because he did not have a drivers licenses At this time, Dunn was transported to the Clayton County jail. The vehicle was impounded to Macks Wrecker.
