🚨 Stolen BMW Leads Deputies on 95+ MPH Pursuit — Bourbon, Missouri (May 15, 2024) Crawford County deputies were assisting on a traffic stop along Brand Road when a dark blue BMW—matching the description of a 2009 BMW 528i stolen days earlier out of Cuba, Missouri—turned onto Fort Westside Road. Deputies attempted to catch up, and when they activated their lights, the driver refused to yield, kicking off a dangerous high‑speed pursuit through rural Crawford County. The BMW accelerated to 70–102 mph, blowing through stop signs and repeatedly crossing into oncoming lanes on blind hills and curves. The driver nearly struck a pickup while turning onto Highway C and continued fleeing at high speeds on Argo Road, Highway CC, and Oak Hill Road. The pursuit ended when the suspect failed to negotiate a turn at Smith Road & Oak Hill Road, crashing through a fence and into a field. Deputies saw one person—35‑year‑old John M. Stuart—running through the field away from the car. After a search through the field, Stuart was found lying in the grass and was taken into custody at gunpoint. The BMW, confirmed stolen by VIN and plate, sustained significant front‑end, undercarriage, and interior damage. Stuart was transported for medical clearance and booked on multiple felony charges. Charges Filed: - 🚔 Resisting Arrest by Fleeing (Felony) - 🚔 Stealing a Motor Vehicle (Felony) - 🚔 Tampering With a Motor Vehicle – 1st Degree - 🚔 Property Damage – 1st Degree - 🚔 Driving While Revoked/Suspended - 🚔 Leaving the Scene of an Accident - 🚦 Multiple traffic violations: speeding 20+ over, careless driving, failed to signal, wrong side of road, failed stop signs Charges were later amended when it was confirmed that Stuart was the passenger in the vehicle. The driver, Jeremy Klein, was not found that day. Numerous charges were brought against Jeremy at a later date for this any several other cases. Sentencing information at the end of the video.
