🐾 On September 20, 2025, officers with the North Little Rock Police Department spotted a man, later identified as **** swerving through traffic on a skateboard at night near E Broadway and Dixie Street. When stopped, **** gave officers multiple fake names before fleeing on foot. Officers pursued as **** ran through traffic, across fields, and into nearby streets. Believing **** could be armed, K9 Xander was deployed. The police K9 bit **** on the chest, taking him to the ground as officers worked to make the arrest. Despite repeated commands, **** resisted by grabbing at the K9’s snout. Officers ultimately secured **** in handcuffs and transported him to the hospital before booking him into jail. ⚠️ Viewer discretion advised. All individuals are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. POLICE REPORT: Do the same with this police report: On 09/20/2025 at 1956 hours, as I was driving east on E Broadway near Dixie St, I observed a male swerving through both lanes of traffic in the west bound side of traffic on a skate board traveling west. It was dark outside and other vehicles were on the roadway behind him creating a risk of public inconvenience and also a risk of him being struck by a vehicle not being able to see him swerving in and out of the two west bound lanes. The male,****, got into the middle/turning lane at which time I activated my emergency equipment and conducted a pedestrian stop on him. I informed **** why I was detaining him at which time I requested his name, **** provided the name of Jose Luis Idedgamendez, which once ran through ACIC/NCIC showed no return. I inquired again at which time he provided the last name of EdandoMandac which also had no return out of ACIC/NCIC. **** previously stated he had an AR ID but it was stolen. I requested ASP to come assist with a finger print scanner and shortly after **** took off fleeing on foot from officers east on E Broadway, south through a field near Dixie St, and east on E 2nd St. Once **** began to flee on foot, I got back into my patrol unit while Ofc. Wade gave chase after him on foot. I knew **** had not been patted down for weapons, was carrying a back pack which is a common place to carry weapons, was lying about his identity, and was fleeing from officers after I had already informed him if he was not lying about his name he would be released with a warning. Due to these circumstances it led to me believe **** may be armed. I observed **** to be going onto E 2nd St as he was running through a field behind the NLRFD station at the intersection of Dixie St and E Broadway St. I drove through the field and upon getting to E 2nd St, I exited my patrol unit due to a large ditch between the field and E 2nd St. I gave chase after **** on foot all while activating my door popper to release K9 Xander from my patrol unit. I called K9 Xander to me and began instructing **** to stop or he would be bit by a dog. Once I observed K9 Xander pass me, I gave his bite command once K9 Xander was approximately 15 feet away from ****. I observed K9 Xander apprehend **** by biting the left portion of his chest, dragging **** to the ground. I drew my duty pistol and began giving **** verbal instructions to place his hands behind his back and to lay onto his stomach. **** did not adhere to my commands and placed his hands along the front of his waistline and then onto K9 Xander's snout. I instructed **** to stop grabbing K9 Xander at which time he did not stop. **** continued to not comply with officers commands and tensed his arms close to K9 Xander's face. Once Ofc. Wade arrived I holstered my duty pistol and grabbed **** right arm while Ofc. Wade grabbed his left arm. Officers were then able to affect the arrest by placing **** into handcuffs. Once **** was placed in handcuffs, I took control of K9 Xander's choke collar and applied pressure on the choke collar causing K9 Xander to release from the bite. **** was then transported to Baptist Springhill upon which he was treated and released. All medical release paperwork was given to Sgt. Rathey. **** was transported to PCSO without incident. MVR in unit 2316 was on and functioning for this incident.
