Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: Around 9:45 p.m. on July 12, 2025, Sergeant Kevin O'Donnell of the Highlands Police Department saw a white 2024 Buick traveling about 28 mph in a 45-mph zone on State Route 36. He turned on his emergency lights, but the driver continued for about half a mile before stopping. Sergeant O'Donnell then approached the vehicle and identified the driver as Sade White. While speaking with Sade, Sergeant O'Donnell smelled alcohol and noticed other signs of impairment. Sade said she had gone fishing earlier that day and admitted drinking before driving. After Patrolman Alexander Pilkington, Troy Hartsgrove, and Nicole Curley arrived to assist, officers asked Sade to leave the vehicle and complete field sobriety tests. Sergeant O'Donnell began with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus (HGN) test. He observed a lack of smooth pursuit, clear and sustained nystagmus at maximum deviation, and nystagmus beginning before 45 degrees. During the Walk and Turn test, Sade failed to touch heel-to-toe on each step and made an improper turn. On the One Leg Stand test, she raised her foot incorrectly, used her arms to maintain balance, and put her foot down several times before finishing. Sergeant O'Donnell also asked her to recite the alphabet and complete a finger dexterity test. Because of her erratic driving, admission to drinking, and poor performance on the sobriety tests, Sade was arrested for DWI. Her vehicle was impounded for a 12-hour hold under John's Law. Sergeant O'Donnell then drove Sade to the Highlands Police Department for processing. At the station, officers read Sade the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators. She agreed to provide breath samples. Her Alcotest results showed a BAC of 0.156%, nearly twice the legal limit of 0.08%. After processing, Sade was released to a sober adult while awaiting court. The adult signed the Potential Liability Warning on her behalf. Sade received citations for: Operating under the influence (39:4-50) Reckless driving (39:4-96) Traffic on marked lanes (39:4-88) Court records show that the Highlands Borough Municipal Court found Sade not guilty of operating under the influence on February 17, 2026. She was found guilty of reckless driving. Her license was revoked for 120 days, and she was ordered to pay $490 in fines. The marked-lanes citation was dismissed.
