On October 22, 2022, Sheboygan Police Officer Wynveen stopped a vehicle for swerving in traffic lanes. The vehicle was being driven by a 21-year-old woman. She initially claimed she was coming from McDonalds and she denied consuming any alcohol, but her story quickly changed. After indicating she was coming from a friend's house, she also admitted that she had consumed alcohol earlier in the evening at a local tavern. She was asked to step out of her vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She also blew into a portable breath testing device, which registered 0.128% BAC. As a result, she was placed under arrest for Operating While Intoxicated (OWI). The police report indicates she provided a breath sample at the police station and the result was 0.11% BAC. The outcome of her case is unknown.
