On May 5, 2025, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Police Officers Anthony Rutkowski and Aaron Font responded to ShopRite, 900 Madison St., on reports of a shoplifting where the actor was in custody of store security. An on-scene investigation revealed an individual, later identified as 40- year-old Anthony Iorio of Jersey City, put a package of sushi rolls in his backpack, and attempted to leave the store without paying. Iorio was arrested for shoplifting and transported to Hoboken Police Headquarters. It was discovered he had an active warrant out of Jersey City. He was processed on the shoplifting charge and the warrant. He was ultimately transported to the Hudson County Correctional Center. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty
