Mackenzie Shirilla's mom tells her in this jail call: "I need you to stay on that protective floor." Netflix's #TheCrash central figure starts freaking out, asking her mom, "Why? You just gave me anxiety!" Natalie tells Mackenzie her story is everywhere. "Because it's everywhere. It's completely sensationalized. I know that 85% of the people in there are not guilty. I just don't want you to leave that floor for a tablet." "Why is it making national news" What if people try to hurt you guys? I'm scared," said Mackenzie. "It'll die down," her mom says, a comment that didn't age well in this post #TheCrash's viral era. "What if they give me the death penalty? She's probably gonna give me like 80 years or something just to like f with me." They speak in gibberish, which I've translated to the best of my ability. I think they're talking about when Dom's mom, Christine Russo, when she said only God could have mercy on Mackenzie's soul. "Stop! Kenzie, no--we're still connected!" Natalie starts crying when Mackenzie talks about the movie Anastasia, because that's a movie her mom tried to send her, but it didn't work. Mackenzie had that Anastasia movie song stuck in her head.
