On June 22, 2025, officers on post at D'Jais restaurant observed a subject, identified as Jalynn S. Ferguson, being escorted out of the establishment. Despite being told to leave by staff, Ferguson remained at the front entrance to argue about his ejection. Officer Jones advised Ferguson multiple times that his night was over and he needed to leave the property. Ferguson eventually walked away but returned minutes later to continue arguing with staff. Officers issued a final warning and physically escorted him away from the area near the snack bar. Ferguson persisted, using profanities and racial slurs in the presence of patrons eating nearby. When officers attempted to issue a summons, Ferguson refused to provide identification. He was subsequently placed under arrest for obstruction. During transport, Ferguson became uncooperative, yelling and refusing to enter the patrol vehicle. Charges: Obstruction, Disorderly Conduct, Interference with Business, Noise Violation These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. An arrest is not a finding of guilt: that’s something for a court to decide. #news #arrest #bodycam
