Bodycam footage from the Sarasota Police Department in Florida captures the disturbing arrest of a mother who violently attacked her own daughter and then attempted to play the victim when officers arrived. On February 12th, 2024, officers responded to a domestic disturbance call. They were met by a mother, Frances, who immediately claimed that her 13-year-old daughter was the aggressor, alleging the teen had attacked her. However, the daughter's visible injuries, including fresh, bleeding scratches on her neck, told a different story. The daughter explained that her mother had been beating her for years, and this time the abuse erupted after a simple argument over a TV remote. As officers placed the mother under arrest for domestic battery, she broke down, crying that the arrest would "ruin her career" while continuing to blame her injured child for the incident.
