#CrimeCamNow On January 3, 2022, Atlanta police responded to a call about a domestic dispute in Atlanta, Georgia. The boyfriend met officers outside his apartment, explaining that he and his girlfriend were arguing because she was talking to other men online. Although nothing physical had happened, he feared it might escalate, so he called the police to help calm her down. He requested that she leave, but officers informed him they couldn't force her out; instead, they would try to mediate. Officers went inside to speak with the girlfriend, but the argument quickly reignited, prompting them to separate the couple. The girlfriend became increasingly agitated, screaming and getting in the officer's face, leading to her being handcuffed for safety. That’s when she snapped—she started banging her head against the walls, crying, and yelling uncontrollably. Despite attempts to calm her down, including by her boyfriend, she grew more aggressive. As officers escorted her to the police vehicle, she continued to resist, banging her head on walls and claiming she hadn’t done anything wrong. Once in the car, she kicked the door repeatedly, making it impossible for officers to close it. When an officer tried to reason with her, she spat in his face. At that point, a female officer was called to the scene, and a spit mask was placed on her, which led to even more screaming, with her now claiming she couldn’t breathe. After her legs were restrained, she was finally secured in the back seat but then started banging her head on the car’s interior. She even claimed she practiced voodoo and threatened to curse the officers. Despite her attempts to provoke them, the officers remained calm. After several intense minutes, she eventually promised to behave. At the precinct, her behavior did a complete 180, suddenly becoming calm and cooperative. She was charged with disorderly conduct, terroristic threats, and battery, and transported to the Fulton County Jail.
