#officerinvolvedshooting #Tulsapoliceshooting Tulsa Police Officer Fatal Shooting Active Shooter After Chasing Him Down On Interstate 44 The Tulsa PD recently released body camera footage of the deadly officer involved shooting on May 10. It originally began at CiCi's pizza and ended up ending Interstate 44. Police officers were dispatched to an active shooter at around 6:30 p.m. in the area of 4800 South Peoria Avenue May 10. The suspect, Derrec Shaw, 25, left his residence earlier in the evening acting erratic and strange, according to Tulsa PD. Shaw then walked to nearby China Wok. Video footage shows him being erratic, throwing his hands all over and brandishing a gun around crazily, then hiding within the restaurant. The second victim opened the door to where Shaw was hiding and he fired once, hitting him just below his lower lip. Shaw then fled the scene and ran to a nearby hotel where he pointed the gun at the clerk and paced around in the lobby before leaving, according to TPD. The first Tulsa police officer arrived, Shaw ran across Skelly and up onto I-44. Arriving officers were made aware of the active shooter status, and officers follow Shaw up the embankment. Multiple witnesses said Shaw was firing at cars as he was in the middle of traffic. The initial responding officer used his patrol rifle and fired twice, killing Shaw. https://youtu.be/FBhww6qj6H4 Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for «fair use» for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research.
