On March 8, 2026, Rio Rancho Police Officer Roskos stopped a vehicle for speeding. The car was being driven by a 37-year-old who claimed she had 2 teenagers waiting for her at home. She admitted to consuming a couple of alcoholic beverages at the Slate Street Bar. She was asked to exit her vehicle in order to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the end of the tests, she was placed under arrest. At the police station, she provided 2 breath samples, which both registered 0.16% BAC. She was charged with (1) Aggravated Driving While Under the Influence of Liquor; and (2) Speeding. Her case is still open and her next court date is July 7, 2026. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
