#news #police #arrest #cops Report: On 08/10/2022, Another officer called officer Brooks-Craig and explained that they obtained information that a male wanted by the United States Marshal Service and in Clarke County, was currently in his sister's apartment. Yet, officer recently secured Obstruction warrants for the suspect at a different apartment, assuming he might be staying with a friend. Based on this newly obtained information, officer contacted a Magistrate Court Judge to have the address changed. After the judge updated the apartment number, other shift officers and officers created a plan and approached the apartment. The suspect's sister asked our reasoning for being near her apartment building, and the officers explained to her that her brother had an active warrant which the officer had in hand. The officer provided her with the warrant, and as she read it, they walked up the stairs, the suspect's sister, The officers reached the front door, and she finished reading. She then opened the door, where the officers presently recognized the suspect standing with another male in the living room area. The suspect's sister told him he had a warrant and needed to come out. The officers then addressed the suspect by his middle name, telling him to come out, but he froze and displayed a face of confusion. Subsequently, He began putting his hands in his front pockets and continued to seem confused. After giving him multiple instructions to come to the door and stop concealing his hands, officers approached the suspect and asked him to put his hands behind his back. In response, the suspect pulled back from the officers and made a statement in resistance to his request. The officers then placed my open hands on his upper torso and pushed him towards the couch where he sat, tensing his upper body. Quickly, the officers put his right arm behind his back and bent his wrist to prevent him from standing and pulling away. All the officers actions were accompanied by continuous directions for the suspect to put his hands behind his back. Concludingly, the officers were able to apply double-locked behind-the-back handcuffs to his wrist. They then stood him up, and officers escorted him down the stairs to his patrol unit, where he was placed in the back seat. The suspect's sister returned the arrest warrant to me after taking a picture. The suspect was then transported and released to Clarke County Jail Staff.
