***WARNING THIS IS A SHORT CLIP, PLEASE WATCH AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION. I CAN'T GIVE YOU BACK THIS 3 MINUTES OF YOUR LIFE...****LOL I advised dispatch that I had just spotted a stolen vehicle and I gave them the tag number of the vehicle. The tag number was ABI12S and dispatch confirmed it was stolen. I advised dispatch to send me some more units and that I was going to wait to attempt a traffic stop until I had more backing units. The vehicle went to Percy Machin and I-40 then Merged onto I-40. The vehicle then went to Hwy 67 and continued through Sherwood. The vehicle was driving the speed limit and I still had not initiated any of my emergency lights. The vehicle got off of Exit 5 in Sherwood but then merged back onto the interstate. It was apparent to me that the driver probably knew I was on to him because he got right back on Hwy167. I advised other Officers that his route is not making any sense now. The vehicle continued at a normal speed and passed the 440 exit. I still did not have any backing units so I did not turn on my emergency lights. About a quarter mile past the 440 exit, still on Hwy 167, the vehicle began accelerating and reached 90 mph. At this point I advised Dispatch that I was in pursuit and I turned on my emergency lights and siren. The vehicle was going 110 mph at this point and was in the far right lane. I went to the far left lane where I maintained a visual on the suspect vehicle. Hwy 167 is a three lane Hwy at this point and most vehicles were yielding to my lights and siren. About a mile past the initial pursuit point, two cars would not yield so I passed them in the middle lane. I was able to safely pass the two vehicles and still maintained a visual on the suspect vehicle in the far right lane. A mile South of the Redmond Rd. exit, I observed the suspect vehicle pass a car on the right shoulder. I stayed in the far left lane which was clear of traffic. At this point speeds reached 118 mph and my lane was clear of traffic. A quarter mile South of the James St. exit, two vehicles refused to merge for my emergency lights so I slowed down a bit and passed safely in the right lane. Once I got to the James St. exit I could no longer see the suspect vehicle so I slowed my unit down, turned off my lights and siren, and terminated the pursuit.
