Akron Police were conducting their routine patrol when they noticed a vehicle parked behind Macs Concrete. Upon approaching, the vehicle hastily fled into the woods behind the establishment. Despite officers' efforts to catch up, the vehicle continued to evade them. Upon catching up to the vehicle, they discovered the driver-side door ajar, with the driver, Williams, nowhere to be seen. The vehicle reached the end of its path, unable to proceed further. Officers then heard Williams fleeing through the woods and pursued him on foot. Williams eventually surrendered, lying on his stomach on the railroad tracks. After restraining him, officers sat Williams upright. He confessed to fleeing without a clear reason, acknowledging it as a regrettable decision. Williams admitted his flight was prompted by his lack of a valid driver's license and the existence of two warrants from other jurisdictions. Additionally, Williams was found to be driving under suspension and was subsequently transported to SCJ for obstructing official business. ⚠️Note: Footage from this video was obtained via the Ohio Public Records Act (R.C. 149.43) All persons featured on the channel are to be presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
