Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: At 1:57 a.m. on April 10, 2024, Edison Police Patrolman Michael Duhigg spotted a silver 2019 Lexus UX being driven poorly. The car swerved and traveled far below the speed limit near Route 27 and Stony Road. Duhigg followed as it continued to drift across the road, then activated his lights. The Lexus stopped in the Metuchen Mower parking lot. Its driver was 27-year-old Jessica Holmgren. Duhigg smelled alcohol and believed Jessica was impaired. He also found that her insurance was invalid. Since the car had to be towed, he told her to step outside and asked her to complete sobriety tests. Jessica refused to leave the vehicle, forcing officers to pull her out. She also refused the tests, so Duhigg arrested her for DWI. Jessica struggled briefly before entering the patrol car. Police held the Lexus for 12 hours under Johns Law, then Duhigg brought her to the Edison Police Department. At the station, Patrolwoman Christina Vadakethalakel searched Jessica's purse and found a small bag containing white powder. Police read Jessica the Standard Statement for Motor Vehicle Operators. She refused to provide breath samples. After processing, officers released her to a sober adult. Duhigg issued Jessica tickets for operating under the influence, refusing breath samples, reckless driving, careless driving, and having no proof of insurance. She also faced criminal charges for possession and obstruction. Court records show that Jessica pleaded guilty on March 24, 2025, to refusing breath samples, driving without insurance, and obstruction. Prosecutors dropped the other traffic tickets and the possession charge. Jessica paid $1,006 in fines, spent 12 hours at an intoxicated driver center, and used an ignition interlock device for nine months. Jessica has a prior record. On December 16, 2017, she was arrested in New Brunswick for aggravated assault involving a domestic violence victim and for possessing a weapon. She was later arrested for DWI in Metuchen on December 18, 2024. In Highland Park, police arrested her twice for violating domestic violence orders, on April 1 and July 11, 2025.
