On October 12, 2023. An officer from the East Troy Police Department stopped a vehicle for not having working registration lights. Upon approaching the driver, the officer noticed that he was showing signs of impairment and was asked to step out of the vehicle to do field sobriety tests. He was unable to complete some of the tests and agreed to a PBT test which showed he had a BAC of .216. The driver denied a blood draw but a judge signed off on a search warrant for his blood, and he was taken to the hospital before going to jail. The suspect was charged with “Operating While Intoxicated 7th offense” a class F felony, he was found guilty and sentenced to 4 years in prison and 5 years of probation. His driver's license will be revoked for 3 years and he'll have to have an ignition interlock device for another 3 years as well. This video is for educational purposes only.
