In this police bodycam video, officers respond to a fire alarm at the University of Iowa and uncover a disturbing scene inside the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity house in Iowa City. When police arrive at the house on North Dubuque Street in November 2024, they discover 56 fraternity pledges blindfolded in a basement, many of them covered in ketchup, mustard, and alcohol during what investigators later described as a suspected hazing event. Bodycam footage shows officers attempting to understand what happened while students inside the house scramble to explain the situation. During the response, 21-year-old Joseph Antonio Gaya was arrested after police say he attempted to interfere with officers and block their view of the scene while they investigated. Although the criminal charge against Gaya was later dropped, the incident triggered a major disciplinary investigation by the university. After reviewing the case, the university’s Office of Student Accountability found violations of campus policies related to hazing and student safety. As a result, the Alpha Delta Phi fraternity chapter was officially suspended on February 25, 2025, and the organization is banned from operating at the University of Iowa until at least July 1, 2029. This video breaks down the police response, the bodycam footage, the arrest, and the aftermath of one of the most talked-about college hazing incidents caught on camera in recent years. 👉 Subscribe for more real police bodycam footage, arrests, and criminal investigations. ℹ️ Chapters: 0:00 Intro 0:17 Cops Enter Frat House 0:58 Cops Witness Hazing 1:48 Who is in Charge? 4:04 Cops Might Shut Down Chapter 5:40 Cops Question Frat Bros 7:43 Cops Check The Pledges 10:00 Cops Question Frat Bros Again 13:07 House Dad Shows Up 13:49 Pledges are Checked and Removed 15:19 Bodycam Breakdown 16:48 Arrest Info & Mugshot 17:26 Outro Disclaimer: This video contains footage of a real-life incident.
