On March 22, 2025, Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to Ski Santa Fe to investigate a traffic collision that involved a possibly intoxicated woman. Deputies Corral and Blakely arrived and made contact with a 29-year-old woman who allegedly collided with 2 parked cars. The police report indicates that the woman was uneasy on her feet and had difficulty maintaining her balance and that she used the vehicle for support as she approached. Deputies also claimed that the woman had blood shot watery eyes and slurred speech. When the woman opened her car door, Deputy Corral claimed he could smell a strong odor of alcohol. The woman was asked if she had been drinking that morning and she responded no. She stated her last night was at around 9:00 PM the night before. After performing standardized field sobriety tests, the woman was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence. She was transported to the Sheriff's Office, where the police report indicates she provided two breath samples. The two samples registered 0.32% BAC and 0.30% BAC. Online court records show the charge of Aggravated Driving While Under the Influence of Liquor or Drugs was dismissed without prejudice on March 26, 2025.
