A TSA agent smelled alcohol on the pilot walking through crew screening. What happened next grounded a 30-year career. On January 15, 2025, Southwest Airlines Flight 3772 was five minutes from departing Savannah, Georgia for Chicago. The captain was already in the cockpit. He never made it off the ground. Airport police pulled Captain David Allsop from the cockpit after a TSA agent flagged him for appearing intoxicated. Bodycam footage shows the field sobriety tests, the arrest, and the moment a career ended on a jet bridge. The FAA revoked Allsop's pilot certification. Southwest confirmed he is no longer employed. Criminal charges referred to federal court. All footage is publicly released bodycam from Savannah/Hilton Head Airport Police.
