🚨 Aggravated Fleeing Crash — St. Louis, Missouri (Dec 6, 2024) St. Louis police officers observed a black sedan displaying a fictitious vanity plate near Dr. Martin Luther King Drive and Goodfellow Avenue. When officers activated their emergency lights and sirens to conduct a traffic stop, the driver — Martez Shadwick (20) — immediately accelerated through a red light at high speed. Further down the roadway, another officer attempted to deploy spike strips. As Shadwick approached, he swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid the spikes and crashed into a stationary vehicle, causing serious physical injury to the uninvolved driver. Both vehicles were disabled in the collision. Shadwick exited the driver’s side door and was detained. A search of the vehicle revealed a Glock 17 equipped with an illegal full‑auto switch. Records showed Shadwick had three prior arrests for felony fleeing. Charges Submitted: Aggravated Fleeing a Stop or Detention — Causing Physical Injury (Class B Felony) Unlawful Possession/Transport/Manufacture of an Illegal Weapon (Class D Felony) Sentencing details at the end of the video.
