On April 27, 2024, police officers in Joliet, Illinois, attempted to subdue a repeat offender using taser and pepper spray. Unfortunately, both methods malfunctioned. 50 Police Body Cam (that’s “five-oh”) is an educational resource for viewers to witness the real-life situations faced by the men and women of law enforcement. We are not affiliated with any news organization or law enforcement agency. Body cam footage is only obtained legally through the Freedom of Information Act directly from the issuing agencies and edited for time, clarity, privacy, and content. We aim to maintain an unbiased look at events and urge viewers to remember that all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. At no time is our intention, ever, to glorify the use of force or violence or to mock victims, officers, or suspects. Our wish is compassion for all parties involved. Thank you to our viewers and subscribers, and extra special thanks to the hard working men and women of law enforcement who make this content possible.
