On March 10, 2024, Logan Township Police Officers responded to the Acme store regarding a report of a shoplifter. Officers initially met with Acme's Asset Protection Manager, who showed the officers surveillance footage and provided a license plate number of the suspect's Tesla. The woman allegedly stole $150.67 worth of items. Based on the license plate number and a physical description of the suspect, officers were able to locate the woman at her home. She was placed under arrest for shoplifting and was transported to the police station. She was fingerprinted, photographed, and issued a citation for shoplifting. About 45 minutes later, she was released with a date to appear in court. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
