Ride along with Sergeant Axlund of the Coconino County Sheriff’s Office in Northern Arizona as Alpha Responder Network gets an inside look at the realities of law enforcement in one of the largest counties in the United States. Kent Shelley joins Sergeant Axlund — the son of the Sheriff — during an intense patrol shift filled with emotional and unpredictable calls. The day begins with a heartbreaking scene after an elk is struck by a vehicle on a rural Arizona roadway. Sergeant Axlund is forced to humanely euthanize the injured animal to prevent further suffering. Later, deputies respond to a mental health crisis at a group home where a man has been destroying property, punching holes in walls, and yelling at staff members. Watch as Sergeant Axlund calmly de-escalates the situation and works to get the man the professional help he needs. The night ends with a bizarre traffic stop involving a suspicious couple who immediately jump out of their truck during the stop, raising major red flags for deputies. With inconsistent stories, agitation, parole status, and concerns of possible drug activity, a K9 unit is called to the scene. This episode highlights the difficult decisions, emotional moments, and split-second judgments law enforcement officers face every day. Stay ahead of the action!
