On November 05, 2025, during the US Government shutdown, a man in Des Plaines, Illinois, allegedly stole three items from a BP convenience store after he was unable or unwilling to pay with his EBT "food stamps." According to the police report, he was also irate and threatening towards store staff. Police encountered him nearby in the parking lot of a hotel, where he was no less confrontational. When the officer attempted to collect the stolen items, the suspect ungraciously returned them—in chunks. Meanwhile, in Lake County, Illinois, a man seemed to think that the deputies investigating a domestic incident at his address had no jurisdiction on his property, and dared them to deploy a taser on him. The deputies eventually complied with his request. If you enjoyed this video, check out these exciting arrests!
