On April 25, 2026, California Highway Patrol officers in Los Angeles County conducted a traffic stop on a white Dodge Charger after observing multiple vehicle code violations. During the traffic stop investigation, police officers learned the driver had an active warrant out of Orange County California. CHP Officers instructed the driver to exit the vehicle. Instead of complying, the suspect accelerated away from the stop, leading officers on a pursuit through Long Beach streets. The pursuit continued until the suspect entered the Crystal Casino parking lot, where officers eventually lost sight of the vehicle. The suspect was not immediately apprehended. CHP later recommended the following charges to the District Attorney's Office for the following charges be filed against the driver: 2800.2(A) Flee with Willful or Wanton Disregard for Public Safety 148(A)(1) Resist / Obstruct / Delay Peace Officer California Highway Patrol Officers Involved: Officer A.
