On September 6, 2025, officers in the Will County area of Illinois responded to a retail theft call at a pet and grooming store. Over the course of approximately fifteen minutes, what began as a payment dispute developed into a multi-count investigation involving theft by deception, credit and debit card fraud, and obstructing identification.
