Atlanta police released details of a incident involving William Burris, a convicted felon with 37 prior arrests, who allegedly opened fire on a building before returning to the scene. When officers tried to stop his gray Jeep Cherokee, he fled with three children in the vehicle. The high-speed chase ended when Burris swerved into a patrol car, effectively PIT-ing himself. Officers recovered a firearm and charged Burris with multiple felonies, including kidnapping and cruelty to children. No serious injuries were reported.
