SOURCE : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDut3PZx-uU&t=2s On December 27, 2024, around 11:58 p.m., Warren Police Officers responded to a 7-11 convenience store following reports of a man armed with knives. Witnesses stated the suspect crashed his vehicle into the building and began threatening customers and employees with knives, prompting employees to lock themselves in a back room. Upon arrival, officers found the suspect, later identified as 46-year-old Brian Steele, standing outside with two knives and bleeding from self-inflicted wounds. Despite repeated commands to drop the weapons, Steele refused, instead shouting, “Kill me, kill me.” Officers worked to de-escalate the situation, telling him, “Nobody wants to kill you.” Steele’s girlfriend, who was briefly with him, managed to move away safely. Additional officers arrived and deployed a Taser, subduing Steele and allowing officers to secure him. No injuries were reported, and two serrated knives were recovered. Steele was treated for non-life-threatening injuries before being taken to jail. On December 30, he was charged with assault with intent to rob while armed, assault with a dangerous weapon, and malicious destruction of a building. Steele, a habitual offender with multiple prior convictions, was on parole at the time. Bond was set at $250,000 with a GPS tether required upon release. * This channel is made strictly for educational and news gathering purposes. Not affiliated with any law enforcement agency. *
