On April 9, 2023, Las Cruces Police responded to a hit and run car accident. The victim followed the suspect vehicle to a parking lot and called the police. When the police arrived and made contact with the 30-year-old suspect, she refused to submit to field sobriety testing. She was then removed from the vehicle and had to be placed in the Wrap restraint system. She was taken to the hospital for medical clearance and was then transported to the Las Cruces Police Department, where she refused to submit to a breath alcohol test. She was charged with Aggravated DUI, hit and run, no vehicle registration, and resisting arrest. Online court records do not reveal the outcome of this case.
