On November 19, 2024, Officers Larson and Miroballi responded to a report of a suspicious white SUV blocking a driveway. Upon arrival, they found a female attempting to re-enter a vehicle that was not hers, with the owner nearby. She displayed signs of extreme intoxication, including bloodshot and glassy eyes with enlarged pupils, and a strong odor of alcohol emanating from her person, despite her denials of drinking. She was disoriented, unable to state her current location, and made nonsensical statements about working overtime and the vehicle being "preset." Her balance and speech deteriorated, and she eventually became combative, physically pushing Officer Larson. Due to her erratic and panicky behavior, combined with already committing criminal trespass to a vehicle, officers attempted to detain her. She actively resisted handcuffing by tensing up and pulling away, managing to slip one hand out of a cuff after being secured. She continued to resist even after being fully arrested, dropping her weight and stiffening her body to avoid being placed in the patrol vehicle, even wrapping her foot around the door to prevent entry. During this time, she made an unprovoked statement about drinking alcohol. An inventory search of her vehicle revealed multiple bottles of Monaco tequila, including a half-filled can, empty wet cans, vape devices, and prescription medication. She was transported to the police department where she refused Miranda warnings, but later provided a chemical test revealing a BAC of .144. She was charged with DUI A-1, DUI A-2, Criminal Trespass to Vehicle, and Resisting a Police Officer. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty
