On December 14, 2024, in Hollywood California, an armed man driving a black Lamborghini Urus flew past Highway Patrol officers at 98 mph on Highway 101 Northbound. The Officers conducted a traffic stop and the driver exited the freeway at the Highland Avenue exit and stopped on Cahuenga Blvd. and Whitley Terrance. During the officer's interaction with the driver one of them noticed a pistol behind the center console and ordered the driver out of the car, at that time the driver decided to flee the traffic stop in an attempt to evade the officers and he did evade the officers for about twenty minutes and then he wrecked the Urus into several parked cars in the residential 5600 block of North Tampa Avenue. The Lamborghini overturned onto its roof and caught fire, several good Samaritans and L A P D officers helped the driver out of the burning wreckage. The driver Stanley Mitchell Alexandre was then transported to Northridge Hospital with major injuries, he was expected to recover and then be taken into custody at a later date. Officers found $4,920 in cash and recovered a Glock pistol from the Lamborghini. The registered owner of the Urus was contacted, and he stated the Urus was not stolen and he knew Alexandre through some mutual friends, and he was borrowing the Lamborghini due to his interest in purchasing the car. A copy of the arrest report was forwarded to the Los Angeles District Attorneys for prosecution for the following charges: 2800.2 VC - Evading P.O.: Wanton Disregard For Safety. 25400 PC - Carry Concealed Firearm. 32310 PC - Large Capacity Magazine Greater Than Ten Rounds. 25850 (C)(6) - PC Carry Concealed, Loaded Firearm - Not Registered Owner. 29800 PC - Felon In Possession of a Firearm. 12500 (A) VC - Drive W/O License.
