On April 7, 2026, California Highway Patrol officers patrolling southbound Interstate 710 in Los Angeles County noticed a Tesla displaying a New York license plate reading “SUPR3ME.” The plate returned no record, and officers paced the vehicle at 70 mph in a posted 55 mph zone. When the officers activated their emergency lights and siren, the driver exited at Del Amo Boulevard. The driver accelerated onto Susana Road, briefly drove on the wrong side of the road during a turn, and entered a business parking lot with no way through. Officers conducted a high-risk stop and took the driver into custody. During the vehicle inventory, officers found a loaded Glock .40-caliber handgun wedged between the passenger seat and center console, with a round in the chamber. The report also documents $4,767.25 in cash, packaged suspected marijuana, suspected cannabis products, and business equipment, including a money counter. The suspected cannabis products and associated items were booked for safekeeping. The driver had a prior felony conviction, a suspended license, and two active warrants.
