On April 29th, 2024, a Palm Beach Sheriff’s deputy responded to a Winn-Dixie in Palm Beach County, Florida, in response, to an employee stealing from the store. The employee would use the self-checkout and instead of scanning all the items she would only scan a few, and not pay for the remaining items. She would do this during the last 15-30 minutes of her shift, followed by leaving the business with the unpaid items. This featured material does not intend to promote or glorify violence in any way.
