On September 2nd, 2022, at about 9:00 PM, Sheriff Deputies from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Paradise Bay Road in Port Ludlow, WA, for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a vehicle that rolled into a house and was currently upside-down. Upon their arrival, investigation showed that the vehicle, driven by a 25-year-old female and mother, had been driving through the area when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle then ran off the road, turned and rolled an unknown number of times prior to hitting a house, causing damage to a child’s bedroom (uninjured). The female and her 5-year-old autistic child were pulled from the vehicle by bystanders with minor injuries (one of which being to the driver’s forehead). While Sheriff Deputies were on location conducting their investigation, one reported smelling the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the female driver. He also observed her eyes to be watery and bloodshot. The driver was later put through field sobriety testing at which point the deputy noted she failed all tests. She was later arrested and processed at which time she provided samples of her breath which yielded a .16% BAC. She was then taken to the hospital for further evaluation and later remanded to jail after being charged with DUI and Reckless Endangerment. The child was released to a family member. The driver’s suspected BAC was at .19% at the time of the crash. All videos and case documents were obtained using Washington's Public Records Request process. Defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty. This channel is made strictly for educational and news gathering purposes. Not affiliated with any law enforcement agency.
