On January 9th, 2025, officers conducted a traffic stop after a vehicle was observed traveling well above the posted speed limit. During the stop, officers discovered the driver’s license was suspended multiple times and that the driver was knowingly operating the vehicle despite those suspensions. When officers asked the driver to exit the vehicle, she continued talking on her phone and ignored repeated commands. After being informed she was under arrest, she resisted by pulling away, shifting her body, and refusing to place her hands behind her back while shouting and attempting to avoid being handcuffed. Officers were eventually able to secure her and place her into a patrol vehicle. The investigation revealed prior convictions for driving with a suspended license, elevating the charges. She was transported to jail and booked on charges related to driving with a suspended license, possession of a suspended license, and resisting arrest without violence. This video shows the responding officer’s body-worn camera footage and captures the encounter from the initial stop through arrest and transport.
