On July 1, 2023, Santa Fe Police Officer Gluvna was patrolling in her marked police vehicle when a 24-year-old woman driving a Toyota FJ Cruiser passed her using the left lane. The police report indicates that Officer Gluvna estimated the speed of the Toyota to be 45 to 50 miles per hour. Officer Gluvna initiated a traffic stop on the vehicle. The woman was not in possession of her driver's license, but Officer Gluvna was able to identify her based on her Social Security Number. When asked, the woman admitted to consuming alcohol earlier in the day. As a result, she was asked to step out of the vehicle to perform standardized field sobriety tests. At the end of the tests, the woman was arrested for DUI. An open container of alcohol was later found in the vehicle. She was taken to the Santa Fe police station, where she submitted to an evidential breath test. The result was of the lowest of two tests was 0.17% BAC, making her DUI aggravated.
