On March 1, 2025, several callers contacted the Middletown Township Police to report an allegedly intoxicated woman leaving the WaWa convenience store. Officers located the described vehicle, which was being driven by a 40-year-old unlicensed woman. She denied consuming any alcohol or being under the influence of medications. However, officers felt she exhibited signs of being impaired, including having slurred speech and pinpointed pupils. Due to her existing medical conditions, she was unable to perform standardized field sobriety tests. She was, nonetheless, placed under arrest and was transported to the Middletown Police Station. She received citations for Driving While Under the Influence, Careless Driving, Reckless Driving, Being an Unlicensed Driver, for Traveling on Marked Lanes. Her case is still open and her next court date is July 24, 2025. All suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
