On November 12, 2024, in San Diego California, a San Diego Police Department ABLE (airborne law enforcement unit) was tracking down a motorcycle rider that was speeding down interstate 8, the rider recently passed San Diego Police Officer J. Kenney ID - 1986 at speeds over 120 miles per hour near College Avenue. Officer Kenney estimated the speed of the motorcycle to be between 120 - 150 mph. A San Diego Police helicopter was nearby flying overhead and was quickly able to locate the motorcycle and track it back to an apartment complex parking lot near Marilla Drive in San Diego. CHP officers arrived at the parking lot within one minute and observed the rider wearing a white helmet, leather jacket, and riding boots quickly walking toward the apartment complex away from the 2024 red Ducati V4 street bike. Officers immediately exited the patrol car and commanded the rider to stop and put his hands in the air and placed him under arrest without further incident. When the rider took of his helmet officers could smell the odor of alcohol emitting from his breath and began a DUI investigation. The rider Iain Miller-Moore was ultimately arrested for DUI and was booked into the San Diego County Jail on the Following charges: 23152(A) VC Driving under the influence of alcoholic beverage. 23152(B) VC DUI of an alcoholic beverage in excess of 0.08% B.A.C.
