A second police response after immediate threats, revealing a victim's profound fear. Officers initially responded to a domestic disturbance at a private residence. After their departure without an arrest, the situation rapidly escalated when the suspect allegedly threatened to kill the man she lived with. This immediate and severe threat prompted a second, urgent call to law enforcement. The victim, who identified as disabled, conveyed profound fear for his safety, expressing belief that the suspect would act on the threats, specifically stating she would kill him while he slept. He was so terrified that he fled the home and sought refuge with an involved person who then contacted police. Upon receiving the second call, officers established phone contact with the fearful victim, who reiterated the threats and firmly expressed his desire to press charges. The involved person then facilitated the victim's return to the residence to speak with officers directly. As the police arrived, the suspect, Adriana Martinez Reyes, emerged from the home, immediately yelling at the victim. Officers intervened, instructing the victim to step back, and approached the agitated suspect. Despite her denial of the threats and attempts to deflect blame onto the victim's mental state, the officer proceeded with detainment based on probable cause and the victim's consistent statement. She was then placed in handcuffs and escorted to a patrol vehicle.
