A Chicago officer responds to a car accident outside a cemetery on the day a woman named Christina came to pay her respects to her recently deceased grandmother. She tells the officer she has not been drinking. She points to garage door openers and says they are breathalyzers. She holds up a hand wipe and says it is a phone. She cannot follow a pen with her eyes. She says her back prevents her from completing the walk and turn. She is arrested for DUI. At the station she demands her expensive purse be handled correctly, cites a document she calls the Poco, and calls her father to tell him her sister can go a direction we will leave to the imagination. This video examines how a traffic accident creates the legal basis for a DUI investigation, the field sobriety test standard and what constitutes probable cause for arrest, and why the circumstances surrounding an impaired driving incident do not constitute a legal defence to the charge itself. Nothing in this video is legal advice. We are not practising attorneys. All commentary is for education, awareness, and accountability. Channel. Proof On Record.
